“The nutrients and organic matter in N-Rich® gave us great results that we weren’t achieving by using manure and fertilizer alone.”

What Farmers Are Saying
Since including N-Rich® in their fertility program, 68% of fields have optimum pH, compared to only 7% having optimum pH prior to use.

The addition of N-Rich® increased soil health quicker and more economically than manure and fertilizers alone. That means less fertilizer, higher yields and more profits.
It is a common misconception that soil amendments are unnecessary when already using manure. However, as Afton Hills Farm learned, applying an amendment like N-Rich can offer significant benefits. There are not enough nutrients in manure to provide what the crop needs.
The dairy farm produces over 2 million gallons of dairy manure annually. The soils on the farm are clay loam and sandy loam with cation exchange capacity (CEC) ranging from 9 to 27. Achieving optimum pH levels ensures fertilizers are available for crop uptake, thereby increasing crop production and yields. Before N-Rich, the farm found that it was taking too long and costing too much money to optimize pH, potassium and sulfur levels.
Since introducing N-Rich to its cropping system in 2013, Afton Hills Farm has seen significant improvements in its fields, resulting in a lower supplement feed cost as they are producing higher quality feed on-farm. Afton Hills Farm is now seeing real data increases without increasing the budget.
